The lake is the place to sail, wind surf, motor boat, kayak, watch sunsets, listen to live concerts at the marina, and experience fireworks on the Fourth of July.
In addition to the one-of-a-kind shops, the town features stores such as Borders, Office Max, and Sport Authority and more icons such as The Old Dillon Inn, which moved with the town during the sixties, and year-round entertainment at the Lake Dillon Theater.

There are many ways to add value to the community through volunteerism and the vibrant senior citizens add strength to the community. Summit County School District operates schools nearby and Colorado Mountain College campuses are in the area.
